
Director of Sales
< backOur client is a successful Maritime manufacturer and global distributor of technology-based products. At this exciting point in the company’s 40-year life, in an effort to manage and grow the revenue streams of existing accounts in the Americas, Europe and Asia, it is seeking a top-performing sales professional to become Director of Sales.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the newly created role of Director of Sales will lead all sales activities and provides functional management of sales planning and sales tracking within a $20 million division. Leading a sales force of 10, this role defines, manages, reports on and delivers the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales cycle and objectives for the team. Using a pragmatic, no nonsense approach to coaching the sales team, the Director of Sales utilizes their hands-on experience to encourage tenacity, resourcefulness and creativity in his/her sales team. Through this, they will motivate to ensure the achievement of monthly revenue and sales targets.
Candidates most suitable will be those who are natural achievers, embrace innovation, have superb communication and coaching/mentoring skills, and have successfully managed field sales personnel, preferably in an international context.
Preference will be given to those candidates with a minimum of 10 to 15 years in account management with the last 5 to 8 years in a sales management role. This background within an innovative, high growth business-to-business model, combined with the ability for understanding high levels of complexity will be considered an asset.
