Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Our client is one of the Maritime’s most respected and fastest growing commercial construction companies. To help meet the current demands of their growing business and prepare for continued future growth, they require a seasoned Project Manager to join their Project Management team of nine at their head office in Halifax, NS.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will work closely with their Estimating and Design teams, be the key point person for clients and directly lead teams on a broad variety of commercial, retail and institutional construction projects for clients throughout Atlantic Canada.

The ideal candidate is a passionate Project Manager who takes his/her business personally. This natural leader has the ability to effectively communicate and deal with all types of people – from trades to owners of client companies, to inspectors, to suppliers. The ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and keep everything well organized is paramount. The experience and foresight to anticipate problems ahead of time, along with a cool head to deal practically with issues when they arise is critical.

A relevant education in Engineering and or construction management along with a minimum of 10 years experience is required.
