Our client, a high profile Federal / Provincial Board, has the immediate need for a highly dedicated and motivated Information Technology Technician.

You will be responsible for setting up software, managing, maintaining, and configuring workstations, servers, remote access and peripherals. You are a troubleshooter and have excellent communication skills in order to explain technical issues / solutions in layman’s terms to end users while delivering top-notch customer service. You will provide technical input to new projects. And you do all of this with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

The ideal candidate will possess certifications indicating technical expertise to support equipment and software. You have three to five years relevant experience. You have demonstrated expertise in network administration (security, firewalls and monitoring); telecommunication (VOIP) and all wireless devices; you’ve created and supported databases using MS Access and SQL. Self motivated with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, you will be hands-on and have strong IT skills. Strong interpersonal skills are required as is strong work ethic and the ability to work at a fast pace.
